Has a meaningless win ever hurt so much? Well, the Hawks found their rhythm like the coaches wanted but at the probable cost of two defenders and possibly a wide-out. Check back later for injury updates. I can imagine some good questions for the Mike Holmgren show. Looks like Dallas may lose at home to Detroit. If Dallas does come to the Qwest, which Hawks defender do you think will cover TO? Ouch. 3 Comments |
I think that no matter what, the crowd and the team will be ready to face the Cowboys, including the person I'm most tired of hearing about!
I'VE SAID ALL SEASON THAT TERRELL OWENS IS'NT THE RECEIVER THAT GLENN IS. THE GOOD NEWS IS, OWENS DROPS AS MANY PASSES AS WE DO! IT WAS HUGE FOR US TO WIN TODAY. WE NEEDED FOR MATT TO LOOK SHARP AGAIN, AND I GUESS WE'LL BE FIGHTING THE INJURY THING FOR AS LONG AS WE GET TO PLAY THIS YEAR. WELL, LET'S CRANK UP THE BIG 12, AND LET 'ER ROLL! WE'RE IN, AND WE'RE AT OUR HOUSE! IF WE CAN COME OUT AND JUMP ON 'EM EARLY, AND WIN SOME BATTLES UP FRONT, GET SOME PASS RUSH, AND GET OUR CROWD IN THEIR HEADS...WE CAN PULL IT OFF. GO...HAWKS!!! THIS IS WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT. I'LL BE CLEAR ACROSS THE COUNTRY IN STAUNTON, VA, SCREAMING MY HEAD OFF AT THE T.V., WHILE ALL YOU LUCKY HAWK FANS WILL GET TO SEE IT ALL GO DOWN IN OUR CRAZY QUEST ZOO! BOY, DO I ENVY YOU ALL.
as i said on cory's post...don't forget about julian petersen in coverage on long yardage! i think he can run with those guys a play or two if we need it. he can at least play some safety for support, and let big play babs go over to corner a couple times. what could we mess up in our coverages by trying something? it may mess with their heads as well.
