Preview, Seattle at Denver

8:40 PM Wed, Nov 29, 2006 |

Odds are still hovering around three points, favoring Mike Shanahan's Broncos. This game could easily be that close. Both teams are 7 and 4. The Broncos are a little more desperate, being third in the good old AFC West. Cutler, the 11th pick in last year's draft, will start at QB for Denver. If the Hawks D were more ball-hawking, this would excite my inner-fan more. But Shanahan is a smart coach. It's hard to imagine Mike putting Culter in a place to make too many mistakes. So the Hawks front four and linebackers will have to step up and stop Tatum Bell. The Denver RB will likely play after missing the last two games, both losses. The Bronco's offense ranks 22nd in the league. Their players could rally around Cutler, but if the QB struggles early they may lose their steam--changing a QB this late in the season can be tough on the psyche. On Denver's side, the team hasn't lost three in a row since 2003, winning six straight home games vs. the Seahawks. The last time the Hawks won in the Mile High City? 1995.
