Where was the 12th Man?

Perhaps it was where I was sitting -- way up in the nosebleeds -- or the fact I was comparing the noise to the Giant's game, but the 12th Man was uncharacteristically quiet as the Vikings had their way with the Hawks. History has proven that a loud crowd at Qwest Field can win games, and I think today's complacency is somewhat to blame for ending the Hawks' 12-game home winning streak.

I agree. Way too many fans were sitting down and not cheering. There were also a lot of Viking fans in the crowd. Shame on those season ticket holders that sold their tickets to Viking fans.

I have to second the motion. Most of the guys in the lavatory were sensing and yelling the same thing, trying to get their fellow fans fired-up. It was an odd feeling, even before the game. A strange apathy from the 12th Man today. At least compared to the last dozen home games.

All I know is I was in Section 325 and I frickin can't even talk now. I was up on every single play (until the game was blown out in the 4th qtr) yelling my head off. And my 12 yr old son was doing the same thing. He knows the drill.....you work your tail off when we're on D.

I don't know what else to say, other than the obvious injuries that are biting us right in the tail. But even so, we're just not clicking on both sides of the ball these days. Thank God we pulled it out against St Louis last week. Next weeks game vs KC concerns me at this point. Heck, I guess every game concerns me now. This is simply not the same team as last year and that will be difficult for Hawk fans to come to grips with. Yes we miss Hutch, but it's so much more than that.

The 12th Man was where they were several years ago when the Seahawks were terrible, nowhere to be found. They were even booing their team which says a lot about the kind of bandwagon-jumpers most of the so-called "fans" really are. Good luck at Kansas City next week...

My thoughts exactly. I was very disappointed to see all the purple in the crowd!! It took alot of the noise out of our building. I don't mind if you have another favorite team but stay loyal to your home team when they are playing at home!! It makes me sick to my stomach, especially when our guys get hurt trying to play their hearts out.

Fans are important but the team still needs to show up and play.
