Defense drives wife crazy

11:21 AM Sun, Oct 29, 2006 |

As my wife asked, can the Seahawks stop anybody when it's third and long? Doesn't seem like Boulware was the only issue this D faces. The linebackers seem to be over-running plays and often look out of position. Huard was doing well before the Hawks arrived at KC, and now the injured QB is finding the middle wide open. LJ is a stud, but Seneca is playing better than expected and the D needs to step up. At the half, on third down the Chiefs are 4 of 7. Damon Huard is 9 of 15 for 165 yards. LJ already has 94 yards. Ken Hamlin is having to make too many tackles, leading the Hawks with six.

this is ridiculous, i've only been watching the game for about 10 minutes (maybe 3 or 4 off the game clock) and i've already seen too much of the same ole same ole. Too many conversions in long yardage situations, too much of our D out of position, and too much LJ

Is it too early to start drinking?

Johnson is killing us. On a brighter side, Wallace isn't as bad as I was thinking. He has 1 INT so far, but 2 TDs. The defense needs to step up if they want to win though.

My previous statements still stand, but that was a big break and good D by Lofa on the series

Yeah, but he also gave up the first down on fourth and one. I have to wonder if other teams are game planning for 51. Also, does this D have a game plan? Boy, it can't be the players. Go Herdon, thanks refs. Now let's actually stop 'em.

Well, that hurts. And I'll venture to say, as much as I like Seneca Wallace, that Hasselbeck would've won it. But it would've been close.

Our defense sucks. PERIOD. We can't stop anybody. While we finally have at least some semblance of a pass rush, our pass defense is horrible. And WTF was Wallace thinking throwing that last pass to Mack Strong when he should have aired the hell out of it?! It's enough to drive a Seahawks fan to drinking!

The "D" couldn't stop a post nasal drip, they would find a way to let it get by them. My Vegas betting just got easier for the rest of the season, if the Seahawks play a team that has a quarterback that can throw more then ten yards.......go with the "O". I guess the Hawks could try and play for a high draft position, the playoffs are no longer an option.

I think we'll make the playoffs, but home field advantage is in jeopardy. And as you know, that's crucial.
