Alexander focused on Super Bowl

2:49 PM Mon, Mar 06, 2006 |

Shaun was all smiles at today's press conference announcing his new contract (pictured with Seahawks president Tim Ruskell). "Last night when I knew everything was done and I got back in town, I texted Lofa [Tatupu] and I said, 'OK, your big brother is back.' And he texted me back and said, 'Well, let's go win the Super Bowl.' The years of Seahawks just being good and being comfortable with just being good are over. All we want to look for is getting to the Super Bowl every year. And we already know how to lose one, so now we're going to learn how to win three or four of them."

Bad mistake getting rid of Joe Jurevicious.

    He was definately worth keeping.

    Again bad move by Seahawks

The Hawks did not get rid of Joe Jurevicious, he went to go and play for his hometown the hawks offered more money but Joe wants to play in front of family, friends, and neighbors you can't blame a guy for that.

I am still angry that the seahawks got robbed in the superbowl I've been a loyal fan for 11 years and resigning Shawn Alexander was the key center piece for the franchise. This is a great team and they need more face time on TV. The steelers suck.

OK, why can't we all just get over the Super Bowl? Seriously, however you feel about it, its over and done with.

The Seahawks have made some great moves, while losing some good players at the same time. All in all this will be beneficial to us, especially getting Nate Burleson from Minnesota. Imagine this scenario:

"Jackson at the top of your screen and Burleson at the bottom, Alexander in motion as Hasselbeck audibles at the line, Hasselbeck drops back and slings a pass to Bobby Engram over the middle for a gain of 11 and a Seahawks first down!"

Forget baseball and the pathetic Mariners, bring on the Seahawks!
