It was ugly, but the NFC beat the AFC in a 23-17 victory that featured 10 turnovers. "All the Seattle guys were smiling," said NFC quarterback Matt Hasselbeck. "That was fun. A little sloppy at times, but some of the most exciting plays I've seen all year." Hasselbeck had one interception -- AFC QB Peyton Manning threw three of them. And it was raining. "I didn't anticipate the rainstorm," Manning said. "That was a shame for the fans and everyone else." Well, except for the Seattle guys.

way to go mat! nice game. but what can you say? WE CAN PLAY IN THE RAIN! It was a good game! and for seattle. " Teams that lose Super Bowls historically fail the following years, and don't take it from me. Take it from Philadelphia. Or Carolina. Or Oakland. Of the past seven Super Bowl losers, six didn't return to the playoffs. What's worse, all but Tennessee -- which lost Super Bowl XXXIV to the Rams -- failed to have winning records." said by Clark Judge

Dissappointing to see Shaun Alexander have no loyalty. He wears a Carolina Panther hat. I think this is a sign that Seattle can say goodbye to the MVP. OR MAYBE we should boot Alexander? What a jerk thing to do no matter how he meant to joke or whatever. Show some loyalty and faith man since you are god reverring man and everybody says they like you like pastors and everyone for your loyalty. Dude you messed up and need to say your sorry to the Seattle fans. Alexander you will always be in our hearts but I am afraid you will be the competition during our run at the Super Bowl in Miami.

The Seattle Seahawks, not the referees, lost the game.
…dropped passes, missed field goals and multiple mistakes
the Seahawks didn't play well enough to overcome any questionable calls, for which there always are going to be some.
Seattle had to play their best to win this game and they clearly weren't at their best.
The Seahawks unraveled in Sunday's game as they used some terrible clock management.
Why is Seattle crying about the Offensive Pass Interference call?
That play happened on first down at the 16 yard line. Seattle lost 10 yards & still had first down on the 26.
After that...
1st & 26 you ran the ball for a 1 yard gain w/ Alexander.
2nd & 25 another Alexander run that lost 4 yards.
3rd & 29 pass incomplete to Hackett.
4th down 47 yard field goal.
Bottom line, after the penalty, Seattle still had every opportunity to score a TD from the 26 yard line and couldn't do it
First off, Seahawk fans need to look at the game not just a few bad calls, I will agree there were 3 bad calls in that game and 1 that could go either way if you look at the letter of the rule book. And the Touchdown run by Ben is not one of the bad calls, Ben clearly broke the plane of the endzone while in the air and then a seahawk knocked him back. Remember the ball only has to cross the very beginning of the white to be considered a touch down. It seems to me that you want to put the blame everywhere but where it should be: Jeremy Stevens 2 dropped passed within the 5 yard line that hit him in the chest, 2 missed field goals and a Pass by Hasselback to the steelers defense and there was no seahawk going in the direction of the pass, Pittsburg defense for not doing what it is best at and blitzing preventing alexander from breaking one or the hawks from going over the top, Hasselback and Holmgren for not taking advantage of the 7 yard cushion the CB's were giving the seahawk receivers. it only takes 10 yards to get a 1st if seattle would have stuck to what was moving the ball in the first drive the 5-7yrd dump offs getting first downs eventually would have pulled the defense in and then you can go over the top and most of all what seperates winners and loosers taking advantage of oppurtunity. ie Willie Parker 75 yd td, and Randel El to Ward for a touchdown.
Researchers who interviewed emergency-room patients found that people were more likely to report being mad or furious at the time of their heart-related injuries than during an ordinary day.
Pushing off by the receiver on the DB is PASS INTERFERENCE. He doesn't have to hold or knock him down. The official was right there and reaching for his flag even before D-JACK caught the pass. As for Big Ben scoring the TD, there isn't any definative evidence that he scored or not. The call on the field was a touchdown and you could not see anything to overturn. Besides, even if the call is overturned who says we kick a FG?? It would have only been centimeters at most. The illegal block comes when blockers are coming at you and you take out their legs. That's what was called. I agree it was a bad call but the real damage on the play was the pick. The 15 yards didn't mean that much. How come you people complaining about the officiating never compain about Stevens catch and fumble that was ruled incomplete?? I believe that would be a turnover which always affects the outcome of a game.
Get over the game being fixed. What possible reason could the officials or league have to fix the game? Now you're sounding like Jerry Porter!!!!
The real problem with the game was:
Hawks didn't play well
Officials didn't play well
The Steelers won so give them their props. I certainly give the Hawks props for the season they had and hope to see them in the SB next year.
What about mistakes the Seahawks team made that were not pinpointed by the striped shirts.
How about when the refs did everything possible to take the game away from the Steelers in their playoff game at Indianapolis, but the Steelers still found a way to overcome.
The time-honored tradition of blaming the zebras to justify a defeat is how losers operate.
