I'm not a homer, but give me a break

6:24 PM Mon, Dec 19, 2005 |

So, the fan portion of the pro-bowl balloting is over. Shaun Alexander received the second most votes next to Peyton Manning. But he's the only Seahawk to even make the list. Now I realize the players and coaches also get a say, and fan voting accounts for just a third of the vote, but give me a break. What about Matt Hasselbeck? And Walter Jones should be a gimme vote, name a better tackle in the league. Part of the problem is that fans weren't even given the option of voting for most of the Hawks. Rookie Linebacker Lofa Tatupu wasn't on the list of potential Pro-Bowl candiates, but Punter Chris Kluwe was - are you kidding me? I know the candidates are choosen before the season starts, and before we really know who's going to have a breakout year. But it's somewhat embarrassing that - out of the handful of Seahawks on that list - only Shaun Alexander received enough votes to crack the top 10 leading vote getters.

First I want to say it is great to see someone from my home town. I have followed Brock from High school all the way until now. It is great to have such a great program after the game so our great Hawk fans can come together and put in their comments and to get questions heard and answered. My question is, what type of a game plan will Coach Holmgren need to beat thease Colts? I would love to see Seattle beat the colts so after all these years we can show the NFL that we are not only the best in the NFC, but best in the NFL. I am really impressed with Seattle and I am darn proud to say I am a Hawk fan. I look forword to the games and to phonezone every week with my #11 Huard Jersey on. Thank you so much for such a great program so I can have the chance to put in my 2 cents. Until then have a wonderful Merry Christmas and I look forward to hearing the show in Detroit.

You say that "Rookie Linebacker Lofa Tatupu wasn't on the list of potential Pro-Bowl candiates" Welll that is wierd because I voted in the last two weeks and he was on there so I am wondering what you were looking at. And I can say I voted for all possible Seahawks I could. GO HAWKS!! (from Denver)
