A Win is a Win? Think Again
A win is a win. Coaches say it. Players count on it. Fans believe it. But that's not necessarily the case for the Seahawks Sunday. There's no question the Hawks got lucky. Every good team gets lucky every once in a while, the problem is, the Hawks didn't look like a good team for most of Sunday's game.
Walter Jones and the "O" Line looked beatable. Shaun Alexander couldn't find his way up field during the first half, and the Hawks offense couldn't get a drive going in the final minute of regulation. That's what the rest of the league sees. The Giants figured out a way to slow down the Hawks, and nearly beat them. That's food for thought this week for the Eagles. Coaches around the league will study Sunday's game tape - and next time the Hawks might not get so lucky.
So a win is a win - for now.

Too true Jen. Seattle's Offense had better learn from this last game to step it up. The Giants did apparently get lucky though with the gifted TD calls. Final score should've been Seattle 21, Giants 13.

Granted, it was an ugly win for the 'Hawks, but nobody ever said that every win had to be a beautiful one. There is no law written in stone that says so. It is true, however, that there is no such thing as a beautiful loss. At least give the Seahawks credit for hanging in there and persevering to the end. In years past, they would have folded in these kind of games.
In other words, just be glad they won.
