About Citizen Rain
In many ways, blogs are the pulse of a community. News blogs like
West Seattle Blog report on the latest neighborhood news and events that may never make the newspaper. Music blogs like
Three Imaginary Girls help set the tone of the local music scene. And real estate blogs like
Seattle Condos and Lofts have become a community for people whose livelihoods depend on the local market.
When taken together, these blogs provide a steady stream of news, observations and opinions that provide fresh insight into the Seattle area. That's the idea behind Citizen Rain. We've aggregated over
100 200 295 local blogs and split them up into categories with updates every 15 minutes. What are blogs saying right now about Washington politics? Sports? Real estate? Just click on the categories at the top of each page for the latest, or you can
search all the blogs here.
We've also created our own blog that combines some of the best Seattle blogs posts with our own observations about the latest news and goings on in the Seattle area.
So who are we? Citizen Rain is a production of
KING5.com. No, it's not some mainstream media plot. We love to read Seattle-area blogs, but we realized it's next to impossible to keep up with them. So we built Citizen Rain.

The cool skyline photo on the CitizenRain.com home page is courtesy of Jim Rice (check out the
full shot here.) Jim snapped the photo while taking the Bainbridge ferry. Check out more of his photos
here on his Flickr page.
The rest of the masthead photos (on the section pages) were shot by Cory Bergman. In order, they are downtown Fremont, artwork along 1st Avenue in Belltown, Silversun Pickups playing on Capitol Hill, Seattle City Hall, Microsoft, Safeco Field, his wife Kate mountain biking in Juanita, Belltown condos, clouds (duh) and satellite dishes over the Fisher Building near the Space Needle.
