KEXP radio expands to New York

Beginning today, my favorite Seattle radio station will also simulcast in New York. Even John Richards, KEXP's morning show host, will split his time between the two cities. But many listeners worry that the move may dilute KEXP's Seattle focus. "We have no interest in losing our Seattle-centricity," executive director Tom Mara told the Seattle Times. In fact, the idea is to help bring Seattle's music scene to New York and other cities, as KEXP.org has done for years on the web.
