A blogger for the Stranger was
fired from his temp job at Amazon.com yesterday after blogging about an impromptu Billy Ray Cyrus performance at the company's office. Sam Machkovech says he was let go for breaking Amazon.com's non-disclosure agreement, and for blogging while at work. While Amazon employees
are allowed to have blogs, a spokesperson said that Machkovech's writing reflected poorly on the company. You can read his blog
here. He's definitely pretty flip, and he uses profanity (he must fit in well at the Stranger). And he's kind of critical of Billy Ray, who must have stopped by for publicity. But as the SLOG points out, he never mentions which company he works for in his post. "I don't think I’m the victim," Machkovech told the Stranger. "[But] Amazon could've handled it better than firing [me] over Billy Ray Cyrus."

Oh well, you broke two rules, the whole non disclosure thing and blogging on the job. If I broke one rule at my company I would be fired. You can of course express your opinion (well obviously not at work) but since I LOVE Billy Ray Cyrus and have for over 15 years and didn't appreciate your blog, I can't bring myself care.

We all remember “Achy Breaky Heart” and of course the mullet cut, business in the front party in the back. I love Billy Ray...he hosts Nashville Star thats on NBC every Mnday 9/8 c and he seems like such a great guy...everyone makes mistakes but come on guys..lets move on...if you watch the show you will see
