Smart cars arrive in Seattle
Seattle is about to get a little smarter. Check out the first Smart cars rolling into Puget Sound. Several residents pre-ordered the Smart fortwo and are picking them up as we speak. The environmentally-friendly cars get 40 miles per gallon and can fit in a parking spot sideways. Not as styling as the Mini Cooper, but nice for tight fits on Capitol Hill or downtown.

Oh, you've noticed us. My sister has the silver convertable one and I have the all black one. We know that we can back them in, but it's so easy to parallel, why bother.

I've wanted one of these since seeing them in Rome years ago. But I read a review of them about a year ago where the reviewer spoke of a great in-city car, but said on the freeway, at 55 to 60 mph it felt like the car was going to tip over. Is that true? Have you driven it on I-5 at the speed limit? Is it noisy, does it feel safe?
