Alaska introduces the airline industry's first avatar

Alaska Airlines says it's the first airline in the United States to introduce a virtual assistant. Her name is Jenn – and she likes to eat Copper River salmon, her favorite drink is coffee and she has a virtual dog named Denali (at least that's what she told me online this morning). The airline says nearly half of its tickets are purchased online, so Jenn will provide customers with a more personalized experience. You just click the "Ask Jenn" link on the Web site and she'll respond to questions both verbally and with written responses.
