Writing positive things about Tacoma, every day
Tacoma, well, doesn't have the best reputation. So a woman with the blog, "Tacoma Mama," committed to writing something positive about the city every day for a year. That was a year ago, and now News Tribune blogger Mark Briggs just interviewed her about her accomplishment. "Taking the time to actively think about one positive thing every day, on any subject, begins to change your way of thinking about the world," Jennifer says. "It's been wonderful to share my vision of Tacoma with other people, and discover other people who see it the same way." Well done!

Having lived in the Puget Sound area for 20 yrs has made it clear that most of the murders, arsons, rape, beatings, burglers, car theft HAPPEN IN TACOMA, FEDERAL WAY, WHITE CENTER, SEA TAC... cities which are not doing enough to lock up or terminate these holigans before they can squeeze their puny heads to commit some sick crime.

Crime, unfortunately, happens everywhere.
I might point out that more zombie-themed rave mass shootings HAPPEN IN SEATTLE but that would just be silly, and not relevant to this post.

why not focus on something immediately terrible and more dangerous to our citizens than locative crime or terrorism... unsexy things like child obesity, heart disease, automobile accidents, air pollution... that's what is REALLY going to screw us over as a civilization.

Subject: Positive comments. Previous three postings (including yours Tacomamama, and I admit it, mine too!): NEGATIVE.
Let's just take a deep cleansing breath of better-than-it-was-in-the-70's Tacoma air!
