Was NBC biased against the Hawks?
I've heard from quite a few people -- both friends of mine and folks that have left comments on the Seahawks Blog -- that NBC announcer Chris Collinsworth was rooting for the Redskins. Of course, all of that is moot, because the Hawks are bound for Green Bay. But it's just one more example of the national media pretending Seattle doesn't exist.
By the way, everyone around me at the game was screaming at the top of their lungs, so I didn't need to get impolite with anyone.

Collinsworth was completely unprofessional and biased in his commentary. NBC should be aware what their commentators believe and have someone to balance them out.

It doesn't matter, the Seahawks are going to get crushed in Green Bay next week and then the media won't have to pretend that Seattle doesn't have to exist.

It's always the case--the Seahawks (& Seattle) don't ever get the respect of the East Coast elite. They don't think anything West of the Mississippi is worth mentioning. Just as it was when the Hawks went to the Super Bowl -- it was like the Steelers were playing against no one. It had been predetermined that the Steelers would win and no point for the ... what was that team's name again? Oh yea, Hawks, to even show up. I don't know how we can change the attitude of these snobs, except have the Hawks keep winning.

Cris (no 'h' in his name) did seem to change his tune towards the end of the game, and said nice things about us. I was more annoyed that one of the announcers, I'm not sure which one, kept calling Matt "Todd"! But at least we didn't have the guy who calls the coach "Holmgrum".
And should we make it to the Super Bowl, at least this one will be on OUR half of the nation.

Still looking for one good reason why anyone out here should feel slighted...sorry, but I just don't think highly enough of these "analysts" on tv to warrant making an effort to care.

As the guys on the radio say, "turn down the volume on the television and turn up the radio". If you do that, it does not matter what these idiots say! Right Chris?!

Seattle is always ignored, even in the NFL commercials when they show montages of clips, fans running around in team jerseys or anything else... you very rarely see anything related to the Seahawks.

Seattle does not get the respect it deserves, but that is ok by me. The underdog is something we love (hello cougs). Who cares what they say on NBC. Its all about the "W".
Also Winston, you see the ProBowl commercial, Hasselbeck is the QB. No he is not dating any supermodel or music star, but he still makes some money on commercials.
