"Just as traffic man and often dry jokster on TV and radio Adam Gehrke stepped on the screen this morning, some 'PEW PEW!' sounds made their way into the newscast soundtrack," Freitas blogs. "Just as he started to talk about local backups, the subtly surprised Gehrke exclaimed 'Hmm, lasers,' then continued on." Freitas says he's heard similar sound effects on KING 5. "That was ridiculous," Freitas writes.
