Sunset Bowl has sold, may be torn down

One of Ballard's most popular and historic gathering places, Sunset Bowl, has sold. Public records show it sold for $13.1 million to Avalon Ballard, which appears to track back to a division of a luxury apartment developer based in Virginia. Now, Sunset Bowl isn't the most glamorous hangout, but it has character and lots of history, and it will be a shame to see it go. Sunset Bowl will close in mid-April.

Very sad. First Leilani and now Sunset. The place is always hopping and doing booming biz. All this in the name of more (and more) condos?
