Layoffs at KIRO 710 Radio

BlatherWatch was the first to report layoffs at KIRO 710, and now a couple of the displaced hosts are writing about it on their blogs. "The reason cited is 'purely budgetary,'" blogs Bryan Styble, who explains his show will be replaced by syndicated programming. "I’m deeply disappointed," writes HorsesAss blogger David Goldstein, who hosted a weekend show. "I’m not giving up on the dream of local liberal talk, and neither should you." By the way, KIRO 710 has launched a new site, MyNorthwest.com, along with the other Bonneville radio stations in town.
