America's oddest pet hobby has arrived in Seattle. This weekend, our city is hosting a dog-dancing competition, titled "It's Raining Dogs … Hallelujah!" You can watch a clip from today's competition - which includes sequins, little poodles and tricks -
here. The contest includes more than 140 dogs and their owners dancing the mambo, cha cha, waltz, and hip hop for prizes (You might remember a "King of the Hill" episode based on this). This weekend's event is hosted by the
World Canine Freestyle Organization, which says the object of "canine musical freestyle" is: "to display the dog and handler in a creative, innovative and original dance, using music and intricate movements to showcase teamwork, artistry, costuming, athleticism and style in interpreting the theme of the music."

Terrible clip. Your readers would have enjoyed it a Lot more if it had been some quick views of some of the best routines (many of which were awesome) rather than interminable footage of a beginner dog and a senior dog.
