Seattle blogger Rosalie Gale is featured in the Seattle Times this week for her peculiar trading experiment. On her Web site, bARTer Sauce, she swaps arty stuff on Craigslist, acquires funny stories about the objects, and then blogs about it. The experiment started when she traded a crappy Sony laptop for two pairs of boxing gloves and a camera. She's since made 40 trades, and recently aquired a lamp made of popsicle sticks and rhinestones that "whispers in the night." On her site, you can currently bid for a huge "vaguely vaginal" painting and a paper mache hedgehog wearing a mask.
