Mix and mingle with Seattle science geeks
The scientifically-minded have two opportunities to get their drink on in Seattle this summer and fall. First, the Pacific Science Center hosts "Science with a Twist" on the third Thursday of each month. The 21+ event offers food, beverages and live entertainment with a theme that goes along with the Science Center's exhibits. Tickets are $15.
In addition, Science on Tap plans ongoing meetings at the Pub at Ravenna Third Place. The next meeting, Aug. 27, will feature guest speaker Gerard Cangelosi of the Seattle Biomedical Research Institute. His talk is titled "Understanding tuberculosis, XDR-TB, and Godzilla: A guide for modern city dwellers." Say what?
