More people experiencing Paul Allen's EMP

It seems attendance is up at Paul Allen's Experience Music Project and Science Fiction Museum, prompting the business to extend hours. Starting September 4, the EMP will be open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (it was previously closed Tuesdays after Labor Day). Attendance was up 13 percent at the start of 2007, and 5,836 new members have joined in the last 12 months, according to a press release.

Why the sudden interest in Paul's music project? Well, lower ticket prices, for one thing. In March admission was reduced to $15 for adults and $12 for youth. EMP staff also attributes the growth to free admission on the First Thursday evening of each month - called "All-Access" nights.
