KING 5 photographer Ken Jones called Gabriel Ladd "a spark." It took me a while to get that, but now I believe that is the perfect way to describe him.

I made a discovery this year -- black Santa.
It was by chance really. I called Nordstrom's in downtown Seattle to see when Santa was available for photos, and there was a prompt that said, "For multi-cultural Santa press 2."
"Hey," I thought, "I'm multicultural, let's see what this is all about."
My mouth dropped when I heard, the times for not only black, but Asian and Latina Santa too!

Nearly every day a tip comes into the KING 5 investigative unit about a custody battle.
Our Executive Producer tells me we get more people calling and e-mailing us, asking us to look into their custody issue, than any other topic. Usually there is a lot of he said/she said involved, which is difficult to sort through.

Now that we know teens are experimenting with prescription drugs at an alarming rate, we should all do whatever we can to make these drugs difficult to get a hold of.
Yes, you can buy prescription drugs on the street, but research shows kids often get them from people's medicine cabinets - at least a first.
Once a kid is addicted, especially to opiates such as Oxycontin or Oxycodone, they will do whatever it takes to get their drug...

When I was growing up, I had a very close-knit family. Christmastime was always one of my favorite times of year because we would all get together, have a big noisy dinner, and then adjourn to our den to commence the festival of greed.
