Victim of hit-and-run needs help Bookmark and Share

4:59 PM Fri, Jul 11, 2008 |

For years Celia Gorski helped others as a registered nurse. Now, friends say, it's Celia that needs the help.
We featured the Lacey mother in a story last month. She was seriously injured when a hit and run driver slammed into her car in Olympia. The driver who caused the crash sped off, but left behind a piece of his bumper. That evidence and the subsequent news coverage helped Washington State Patrol detectives identify and arrest a suspect.
Gorski's leg was broken in several places. She's been in and out of the hospital for the past three weeks. She has to undergo another surgery next week because of an infection. She has not been able to return to work at either of her two jobs. Gorski had been the sole provider for her family.
Dixie Wilson got to know Celia Gorski when Gorski worked as a nurse caring for Wilson's mother. After her mother passed away, Wilson said Gorski helped the family deal with the loss. The two remain friends over a year later.
Wilson has given the Gorski's money to help them out and she's started an account at US Bank to support the Gorski family.

Please come forward and get it over with!! Yes the woman was injured and yes you took off, but big deal my friend. What's a whole life time of guilt and always looking over your shoulder and in your rear view mirror compared to owning up to your part of the bargain getting a ticket and most likely probation.
Come on!!!
Stress in your life is not the answere.
Who knows?
Please turn your self in and it will be a lot less painful that way!!!
