After a relatively good day for the city, with positive testimony from Sherman Alexie and an organized cross examination by the city's Paul Lawrence, the city had a rough close to this fourth day of testimony. The city's co-counsel, Jeffrey Johnson, tried to cross examine the Sonics witness, and analyst named Debra Jay. He stumbled through the cross examination, to the point Jay seemed like she was getting annoyed. Brad Keller constantly objected to his line of questioning, and Judge Marsha Pechman consistently sided with Keller. It was a rough day for Johnson. 1 Comments |
On Monday when Johnson was questioning Nickels, he seemed caught of guard when he tried to introduce the letter from the owner of Sport and the Sonics attorney objected. I think Johnson could have done better in arguing against that objection. Shortly after that he seemed to stumble for a short time as he continued to question Nickels.
