Eco-terror tragedy

5:41 PM Thu, Jun 19, 2008 |

Briana Waters will not be there to watch her daughter lose her baby teeths. She will not be there to help her tie her first shoe or ride her fist bike. She will not see her daughter's first day in kindergarten, her first day in first, second, or third grades. Briana Waters' daughter will not have her Mom to cuddle through her final days as a toddler or turn to when she experiences the challenges of becoming a girl.
Briana Waters was sentenced to six years in prison for her role the eco-terror attack that destroyed the University of Washington Urban Horticulture Center in 2001.
She was convicted of being a lookout for the Earth LIberation Front members who set the fire.
The decision Waters made in her twenties has come back to rob her of her 30s.
The victims of the fire were robbed of their hard work, their experiments and their sense of safety at work.
And Briana Waters' daughter is robbed of her mother.
Justice has prevailed and will hopefully prevent future violent acts. If the sentence doesn't deter them, maybe the loss and sorrow of this case will.
Full story.
