All too often we find ourselves heads down, minding our own business inside our own personal bubbles, especially our cars. Even the simplest tasks fall into this category... like buying a latte.
At a Starbucks in Marysville, the one on 116th near I-5 to be specific, a woman started something at 8 a.m. that hasn't stopped all day. She bought the person in the car behind her a coffee. That person then bought a drink for the person behind him... and by the time our story ran at 5:45, that unbroken string had repeated itself 300 plus times.

Some people ended up ahead in this deal, some broken even, some were in the hole. But it didn't seem to matter. Nobody said no when asked.
One of the people we interviewed was Sharon Wellman. Sharon kicked in 15 bucks above and beyond what her drink was worth (a tall eggnog latte, for the record). Sharon was thrilled. Afterall, it is Christmas and Sharon would like to see more people give everyday of the year. She does as a volunteer for United Way.
This spontaneous chain of cheer is just one of several that has sprouted up around the country this Christmas season. And in Marysville today, a few hundred people took the time to look up and out from their personal bubbles.
