Antarctica Cruise Passenger from Issaquah? Bookmark and Share

7:40 PM Fri, Nov 23, 2007 |

While waiting in line at the Issaquah Post Office Monday (11/19), I overheard a woman telling her friend she was spending Thanksgiving .. in fact, almost a month .. on a cruise to Antarctica. Now comes word that a ship called the MS Explorer is stricken and all its passengers evacuated. Could this woman be one of the 13 Americans onboard? How is she? WHO is she? Contact us if you know! SUBMERGED ICE?? COULD THIS BE SOME NEW HIGH DENSITY FORM OF ICE, AS I ALWAYS THOUGHT ICE FLOATS. POOR TERRMINOLOGY?

Ice can float just below the surface and still not sink to the bottom.

wow it's like the titanic all over again! except everybody survived and they had enough life boats for everyone to get off safely.

Maybe Ms. Matsukawa should stop eves dropping at the post office. Does it make the story anymore important because you heard "someone" saying they would be on a cruise?
