In Ocean Shores today, I saw the piece of what is likely from an old ship's keel. Ocean Shores resident Steve Sauve found it over the weekend while making his usual rounds of the beach.
The Ocean Shores Interpretive Center has taken on the job of figuring out just what it is and perhaps what kind of ship it came from. Maybe even a name? There's always hope.
However, our hopes could be dashed on the rocks if the experts conclude it's from something else. Take a look at our piece on KING5.com.
