The teacher being questioned is nothing but a great teacher. He reaches out to students and does his best to make sure everyone knows they're important and have a place in our school. He makes kids feel welcome and it's sickening to know that his kindness and dedication is being questioned.

Okay, it says he texts girls, but of course the article doesn't mention anything about how he texts boys too. Or that the reason he has so many teenager's numbers is because he is the club adviser of FBLA, a club with almost 100 members.

When FBLA goes to Spokane or Chicago for competitions, how else is the advisor supposed to contact the huge number of kids he is responsible for? Telepathy?

He is a great guy and a great teacher, he does a lot for the school and all that he does is just being trampled. Teachers aren't paid to run clubs, they aren't paid to dedicate hours a day to their students, help them with their problems, make them feel welcome and important, or to do the school football program.

He just does, and that's what a great teacher is about. Helping out.

That really isn't a big deal. Many teachers have students numbers because of clubs and extra-curricular activities. Especially if the teacher is taking a group of student on a club related trip - a cell phone is the best way to contact that person if they are not to be found.

This teacher is about as good as they get. It's a shame this man has to be drug through the mud because this girls mom is (more than likely) driving her to make these accusations. I hope this girl realizes that when these charges are dropped, his career is as good as over anyway. She knows better than anyone else that he has been nothing but the best moral support she has ever had. I hope that her doing this will haunt her for the rest of her life.

I really think this is all just getting blown out of proportions. He's not the only teacher who texts students and he's not the only teacher who has the numbers of students. I still call a ton of teachers, and I have friends who still text a ton of their teachers.

I just don't see the big deal. Even the texts mentioned in this article and other articles don't sound all that bad. People are freaking out over nothing. He's a good guy who just wants to be friends with his students. He texts them, big whoop! Ask around. Don't just listen to one mom that's freaking out. I bet that if you were to talk to everyone this teacher has texted before, they'll tell you its not a big deal. I also bet that there are a bunch of students annoyed and confused and angered by this accusation.

This is just plain stupid. I can't believe that some one would say such horrible things about this teacher. I like the teacher very much. I support the teacher 10,000%. It is just a text message, and to me it doesn't sound bad at all. I have texted teacher numerous times in the past and they have texted me. my parents know and don't care. I think that this is a smaller deal than what people are saying it is. It is stupid. I am frustrated and annoyed by this whole ordeal. I just can't believe this at all.

This teacher is a respected teacher in the district. He is an advisor for Fife's biggest club, FBLA. It has over 100 members. If he didn't have students cell phone numbers I would be shocked.

This text honestly does not sound bad. It's funny how the first thing that jumped to this girls' moms' head was something inappropriate or what not. Also when it comes to texting you can't tell emotion through a text. So really she could have taken it one way when he meant it another. ---- has to be one of the best teachers i have ever had in my highschool career. It pisses me off that he can even be accused of something so ridiculously wrong. He has done so much for our school that is extra curricular that really he doesn't have to do, but he does, so why would he purposely ruin it? I think the person who told is really going to regret this in the end when they find him innocent. Before people start believing this nonsense they should look at it from another perspective. Not one of those messages were inappropriate if you know him. Text messages get misinterpreted all the time and he did not mean anything inappropriate whatsoever. I do not believe one bit of this. I know him very well, he is a good guy with good intentions. People should look at her backround if they know who she is and decide whether or not this girl and her mom are reliable sources, becuase in my opinion they are deffinately not.

This teacher does not deserve what he has been through. I think this girl should realize what she has done to him before she tries to press charges. This isn't something that will be forgotten. This will ruin his life, and him of all people in this world should not be in this horrible situation. So all Fife High Students and community members, we need to come together and support him and do anything in our power to help him and show him were on his side.

Shame on everyone who is taking this out of context! I have know this man for a little over two years, and attended his class. He is a wonderful man who is personaly involved in many students lives. As a student of this teacher, he was someone that i held close to my heart and told ALL of my stories to, trusting that he would give me the best advice possible and he always did. Which makes it hard to believe that someone who who seemed so trustworthy can do something so wrong. But the texts that he sent, and words that he used, and the repition of those messages sent are anything from normal, and far from acceptable. There is NO room for explination, and NO room for interpretation. Before so many of you run to his aide, defending him, KNOW that this was NOT the first girl to feel violated, that this has been done by him before and she is NOT the only one. So before you point the finger at the first person to speak out against him, think about how much you actually know, and who you're actually defending.

TRUE, he needs students names for FBLA. but what he DOESNT need, is to send them texts unrelated to school. There is no defense for that.

These accusations are ridiculous and unfounded.This teacher has one of the most positive impacts on his students of anyone in Fife or anywhere else. He is always there to help anyone in need and makes all of his students strive to be the best they can be. The fact that there would be accusations of inappropriate behavior is outrageous in itself. But the fact that these allegations have been taken seriously is unbelievable. This teacher is one of the best and brightest Fife has to offer I have no doubt that he will be found innocent and this will be proved to some over protective mom out to get a great man.

Watching the report on this controversy was appalling; and couldn't be more inacurate. This whole situation has been taken completly out of context. The two quotes used in the news report are not sexual induendos. Anyone who knows the teacher knows that the things he was quoted for were innocent and friendly without any further sexual meaning. The student making these accusation's reputation falls very short of both this teacher and Fife's reputation. As many have said he has very good reason to have these numbers. The student makes a concious decision to give his or her number out to anybody. Fife is like a family, this teacher takes a casual approach to get to know the students. This may include texting them in order to stay connected and provide support. Many students feel comfortable enough to confide in this teacher during times of struggle because of his helpful nature. Why is a teacher being punished for being trusted? Isn't it every year that we take surveys about how safe we feel at Fife? If our teachers can't go above and beyond to touch the lives of our students, how are we supposed to maintain Fife's close knit reputation?

For three years I had this teacher. All three years were great. This man is no threat to any of the students at the School. I've even seen this man save another students life. Because of the bonds this instructor shares with every student he gets to know at FHS, no parent can understand what kind of inside jokes or classroom laughs happen. The student who is accusing this teacher of such harassment needs to cool down and handle things a mature way.

He is a caring, easy-going, easy to talk to, trustworthy teacher and he is doing all he can to help every student he encounters.

Why would the news used minor ambiguous quotes by the teacher if there were more convincing arguments.

This is a great teacher who was, and still is, a good friend to both male and female students. The mom, making these accusations needs to get off of her high horse and realize that her daughter isn't as innocent as she thinks. Those who know the daughter, know better. I am led to believe that the daughter was the one being forward with the teacher, and not the other way around. Being a young teacher as he is, he is going to attract hormonal high school girls, but he would never do anything to jeopardize his job or anything that would make someone feel uncomfortable. I know a lot of people that have had him as a teacher and adviser, and I've had several conversations with him myself. The comments made here are truly uncalled for. The student who came forward with her concern should never have been named by anyone. The FHS students that have posted such crude and foul comments should be ashamed of themselves.

I have no idea who the student is, and have no personal knowlege of the teacher in question. The school district is only doing what they are required to do by law. Let the police finish their investigation. IF her statements are true she should be commended for coming forward. Remember that the media loves to "hype" these kinds of stories. No other news station reported this story that I know of.

I know the teacher well. I would even say I knew him as well as any Fife student ever did. I know him to be a great man who cares about his students.

I don't personally know the victim or, possibly, victims. However, they went to Fife and in a small school like Fife that makes you family.

At this time it is not surprising to me to see people lashing out on this blog eager to align themselves behind one side or the other. But keep in mind what you are saying.

The girl, has every right if she has felt offended or harassed to take action. And she should. Count on me taking action if it was my daughter, so don't blame the mother either.

The teacher also has his right of, innocent until proven guilty. Charges have yet to be filed and yet some are finding it necessary to pass judgment already.

We shouldn't take it upon ourselves to decide right and wrong here. Our judicial system will handle that and will do so with all of the facts.

Now is the time to gather ourselves as a fife family and support those who are victims of this terrible turn of events.

Keep in mind that when this is all over, all of the parties involved will have had their lives immeasurably change.

This is a terrible stain and I hate to see it come upon the school which I called home for 3 cherished years.

Show your support for either party by doing just that. Be there for support.

This incident will end up being horrific enough without lashing out in hate against one another.

Fife For Life

Stupid little high school girls need to stop damaging good people's reputations just to gain attention. Anyone who has been involved in the Fife High community knows how good of a teacher he is and that he would never ever do anything to harm or take advantage of a student. The media isn't helping this either by blowing it out of proportion and not getting both sides of the story, and taking the messages sent out of context. Has all the numbers and has asked for them because he is the adviser to one of the biggest if not the biggest club in the whole damn school. The Fife community should all rally behind the teacher and support him 100%

It shows strength to stand up when you approached by a alleged predator. A man who is supposed to be a role model a teacher. Did the news show the whole story...no why? beacuse they can't...should a teacher ask a student what is the most scandelous thing you have ever done? This happened to me and I was to afraid to stand up because students who do not know the whole story are now putting the victim on trial. This teacher crossed the line do you not talk to kids about their sex practices and if they would remain celebate.
