For Many, The LONG Wait is Nearly Over

This month is a big month not only for Fort Lewis, but for the friends and families scattered across the country anxious for their soldiers to come home. Among those is Adam Rodgers, a Fort Lewis Stryker and dear family friend. For those of you close to a service member during this conflict, you already know how trying and emotionally exhausting these 18 months have been. The rest of us can only imagine what it has been like for Adam and his fellow soldiers who've lost so many comrades defending our freedom.

All this month the KING 5 newsroom has been receiving emails from Fort Lewis notifying us of different groups' homecoming ceremonies. Each day I've waited to see if we'd hear it was Adam's turn. Last night his fiance Arika, who he is set to marry this Spring, emailed us to let us know her soldier is finally coming home Friday.

I'd hoped to be there waving miniature flags with my husband and son at Fort Lewis along with the rest of Adam's friends and family when the sun rose Friday morning, but I'll be getting ready for work as many of us will be, no doubt with the soldiers and their eager families in our thoughts.

Certainly better people in this country than the Democrats, liberals, Moveon.traitors and the abysmal 11 percent Congress will ever be. You can't compensate these guys enough for what they do every day, certainly worth more than the left leaning racist bastards who spit on them day in and day out.

I have an idea, we should round up every bitching leftist in Washington state, put Jim the Traitor McDermott at the lead, give them all M-16's and send them to Darfur to stop the Islamo-fascist genocyde there. After all, the left cries so much about Darfur, why don't they go there?

Thanks to our troops and their families, I hope you know that there are Americans out there who truely live by what they say in supporting you and not stand with a knife behind the back like the fascist loving left.

This is not about the "right" or the "left" Dan.

This is about Americans. Americans who fight for the freedom we have been given. Not "left" or "right" or who is right or wrong.

So stop making every homecoming, every diployment, every solder death, a tool to split this country more apart by saying "left" and "right".

We are not "left" or "right" we are Americans and we ALL have the right to feel what we want about a war.

Welcome home Adam! Thanks for all that you have done. Although you may have felt it has not been much, your efforts are changing the world and making history. I know you have seen a lot. But remember, you are an American and you are free. So feel safe now your at home and know that we all love you!
