I don’t know where to start, with the kids, who have potentially fatal cancer, who keep their parents' hopes alive because these kids have such courage and strength. Or with the doctors. I don't like to use the term miracle, but really, that's what they seem to me. The doctors, like Jim Olson, who can paint cancer cells with infrared light so they stand out and can more easily be cut out.... Or the KING 5 producers Mimi Gan and Brenda Miyake who both have two small children, who interview these families who have just heard the diagnosis: your child has cancer. Every parent, including Mimi and Brenda, aches for the parents who have to hear this. Or with Travis Britt from Kentridge High, who has cancer and spoke at his high school graduation. "I will continue to live in the moment for every moment I have left," he said. "I challenge every single one of you to do the same for as many moments as you have left." See. They teach us where to start. Maybe we can start together, tonight (August 8th) at 8 on NWCN, if you join us for the very special " Kids with Cancer: Courage and Hope." |
