November 2005This video is basically kids talking about something important to them. At the moment it was freak dancing. I found it quite captivating, watching and listening to what they had to say. And I hope you do, too. Tomorrow it will be something different. The next big thing... How about this for a holiday present: Forego the usual gifts and instead do something that supports the really needy in our community - abused kids. Childhaven cares for abused and neglected kids. This year there are 4,000 children in King County alone who could use Childhaven's services: Therapy, love, attention. But Childhaven has funds to cover only 400 children... ...I saw a video clip that brought me to tears. It shows a man cradling a child's face in his hands as he tenderly kisses her forehead. The man is a grieving father who had just lost his son. The girl is a hospital... Many of you have asked why we showed the photo of the suspect in the serial rape case. Police have inferred that it was illegal for us to show it. Some wonder if by showing it the case against the suspect has been ruined. These are all good questions, and you deserve answers... ...The Climate Prediction Center has gathered the latest data on sea surface temperatures and winds over the Pacific. It's trying to determine whether the U.S. is headed toward an El Nino, a La Nina... or neither. Those patterns influence what kind of winter we have here in the Northwest. ...Good move by the Eagles to dump Owens for the rest of the season. This guy had a prime opportunity to build off his gutty performance at the Super Bowl. Instead, he's now worse off than he was when he left San Francisco. And in a strange sort of way, he's become a role model of how "not" to behave...
