It's that time of year again when I dig out the parka and boots. We already saw some snow at Stevens Pass this week, and more is coming. In the newsroom, we have an informal contest every year: who will be the first to go live from Snoqualmie Pass, and when? It could be me, and sometime this week. (Does that mean I win?) And it could be a very busy winter. Read my colleague Jim Klockow's take on the coming season. Just another "normal" winter, so I guess that means I'll be seeing you from the pass, that flooded road with the salmon swimming across it and the windswept deck of the Space Needle. 2 Comments |
Jim,
I had to laugh when I saw you tonight reporting from the pass. You had a big smile on your face, I remembered the bet you mentioned in the blog and thought, well no wonder he is smiling, he won!

You could start guessing when the first surprise lowland snow and who will be first on camera to report it.
Tonight it’s already in the low 30's in so sound in places.
Add a little fog and a passing shower, black ice anyone? Brrrr. Get the winter coats out.
