As Hurricane Katrina slammed into the Gulf Coast this morning, our Web servers got hit too by what may turn out to be unprecedented traffic. Not so much by people coming to KING5.com, but by people coming to our sister station sites closer to the action, primarily WWLTV.com, the Web site for New Orleans station WWL... Station personnel, including my counterpart at WWLTV.com, Tom Planchet, have moved to Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge where they're broadcasting their coverage and Tom is publishing the site. We're borrowing heavily from his team's coverage - I hope you folks outside this building can see it! 1 Comments |
I am just sending out a message to in my in laws by chance if someone comes acroos them. Their names are Joyce and Larry Stokes they were in a red dodge mini van leaving Lousianna headed east to Alabama. Their 2 sons Troy and Mark Duplessis at 2501 Meadowlark Dr. St. Bernard, Parish stayed behind to ride out the storm. I know this is a long shot but like evryone else It has hard to sit by and do nothing. This is my husband parents and brothers. My husband is currently in Afghanistan and has even less access to the news and such, so he is depending on me to do what I can. And I will keep my promise to do what I can to find out if they are dead or alive!!!
