I would like to know why your network, NBC, along with the other major networks in the USA don't print the stories about the lies and deceit happening in the Whitehouse. Who are you all afraid of? 1. Do the reporters actually write their own entries, or does the web team write them and assign them to news personalities?

2. Who reads the comments?

3. Is there a requirement for correspondents to post x-number of times per week?

4. What is the long-term vision of Blogger King? Where is this going? Why is K5 doing it?

Lots of questions there. The reporters and anchors write their own entries. If the web team sees a typo, they'll fix it.

Quite a few folks in the newsroom are reading the comments, because they're curious about the feedback.

No minimum requirements on posting frequency, although I'd like to see more. :)

And I've been blogging for years on my personal site (LostRemote.com), and I've come to realize that blogs are a great way to connect with people. Sometimes we're very isolated in TV, and a blog can help us listen to the community and add a personal touch to our on-air reporting.

I know the practice is universal in local TV nationwide, but I still don't understand why the word "fatal" is not used when a death is reported. "Deadly crash," "deadly storm," etc. My dictionary defines deadly as "likely to cause death," while fatal is defined as "causing death." Seems cut-and-dried to me.

I heard the last part of your program on tent city and the homeless. I have only one question. Who are you talking about the homeless or bums? To help you understand what I am talking about, on April 5 1998 after a number of problems with the apt. owner and manager of the apt.'s I lived in, I had to move. I had no job, very little in saveings, I did recieve a V.A. disability which help.
With first, last and depoist I was never able to make or save enouth money to get other apt. and when I did ask for help I was told that because I was a white male with no children I had no rights. While I was homeless I went to a few of the goverment agencies that said they help the homeless and I was told that since I had a tent and a truck I had a home. Then I got a 16ft trailer and then they told me I had it made, as if that was all I wanted.
Then other agency agent told me I wasn't very smart. The truth hurts.
I went to the churchs and all they offer was hand outs. After five years liveing on the street I finality have a home(which I own), I have a small business I am working on, and I have an income.
I have been homeless, I have seen the real homeless. The people in tent city are not homeless, they are bums. When I was homeless I never bag, use drugs, and I never recieve any help from the churchs, they tried to get me to give them money.
The only one who cared enouth to give me the help I needed was GOD AND HIS SON JESUS.
There is a way you can help the homeless and the bums who want to work, but you will not do it. It requires a sacrifice, a sacrifice no one in Wash. will make. It means this 'bring the price of homes and apt. down. tax cuts, a lot of state services must be cut or done away with.The welfare system must be done away with.' You want to help the homeless or homeless bums that is what you must do.

I tried to register and kept getting the same message..so what I want to say is about the Lady and her Duck! Shame on the Fish & Wildlife agent and who he represents!!! For the weather forcasting crew; To make your job easier: Washington State has just two seasons, wet and dry. The wet season goes from august 25th to june 15th, followed by the dry season. For those who choose to use this as a place to vent thier anger and tell you how you fouled up and what you did wrong, several things come to mind but what I will say is that those who chose to speak in this fashion should try to do your job. New Orleans will be rebuilt, with federal money, insurance money, private donations, by any means nesessary. the army corps of engineers will get the levys rebuilt better than before, and we will once again have the superbowl at the superdome. because thats what we do. Is anyone besides me sick of Boeing machinists or engineers going on strike every two years? I mean the average salary for a Boeing machinist is somewhere in the range of 70k, and correct me if Im wrong but most of these people dont even have a college degree. I am curious about something that hasn't been reported on the news but I assume someone had thought of it. Are the cruise ship companies operating in the Carribean making any atempt to help with the evacuation effort? There is food, water, and climate control on those ships that could rescue several thousand people at a time and bring them in some form of comfort to a more permanent shelter. Just curious as to why that isn't being done.

I just have a couple comments re: the Seattle Mayor's plan to open up all that 'low income housing' that seems to be available for the Katrina victoms, but what about the people who are living in a tent city, and on the streets of Seattle, homeless, who can't get proper housing. Is the Mayor and the other 'Power's that be' going to be subsidised by the Gov't for housing the Katrina victoms? And if all this housing is available for them, why not for our homeless.

I'm certainly not against helping those folks, but we have folks here at home who need the available help also.

What a great opportunity we have in this country to express our opinions freely. What I saw of the debate on King 5 was a fine example of the freedom we have and the vast canyon of views that divide us. Pastor Hutcherson was clear and quite correct in his understanding of the Word of God. He stated the case with a clarity that has been lacking in many of the voices selected in a secular arena to debate opposing opinions. Many people today unfortunately seem to have abandoned the ageless truth of God's word for the pleasures of "sin" for a moment. With so many who profess to have a faith in God and his Christ being so timid and wishy washy about standing up for biblical truth, no wonder the God of the Bible says "judgement will begin at my house..." I've been reading through the blog that discusses the issues with Reality homes and am frankly a little shocked at the content within many of the posts. First, I'm not an employee of the company but do know of several people who have built their houses through Reality (and my younger brother is in the finishing stages of his home now, and frankly, it's lovely)

building a house is a big job. doing it through a company that saves you money and yet yields a healthy investment through equity at closing is even a bigger job. I'm sure that there is probably validity to some of the claims here but for the most part, this sounds like sour grapes. If nothing else positive comes out of this experience, they'll probably expand their customer service area a bit and maybe have their contracts reviewed to make them a bit more consumer friendly.

For the person who posted that it was a 'scam' you should be careful about what you write. regardless of problems or delays, it is not a scam to accept money from someone in exchange for agreeing to build a house. Your logic lacks truth, integrity and frankly is mean spirited. To those of you who are ripping on their religion, what is the matter with you? The last time I checked, this was the United States of America and that affords all of us the freedom to worship however we see fit.
